Biomole allows you to search Ask Nature for multiple functions and shows you where they overlap.

Biomole is an ongoing project by Marjan Eggermont, Søren Knudsen, Richard Pusch, and Sheelagh Carpendale at University of Calgary and Simon Fraser University.
By expanding the tree hierarchy, it is possible to allocate more horizontal space for a group and sub-groups.
By dragging data marks across a blank data pane, it is possible to ‘paint’ with the data mark.
Clicking any of the spheres results in a summary list which links to corresponding organism pages on Ask Nature.
For now, the tool only works with mouse input, which rules out using it from a smartphone or tablet. The tool looks best in Google Chrome, but will work just fine in Firefox. The tool is not tested on other browsers.
